| Tensile strength
specifications are averages based on tests made on new and unused
rope. These figures do not allow for conditions such as shock
load, wear, knots, sustained load, kinks, etc.
IMPORTANT: The safe working load for cotton rope is
15% of rated breaking strength; for nylon, 11%; and for
polypropylene, 15%.

| Rope users must follow
recommended working load on specification sheet. Where life
and limb is in danger a further reduction of 50% must be used.
No guarantee is made if dynamic loading occurs. Rope is not
guaranteed if exposed to sharp edges. |
